REGISTERED Deaf/deaf?  Did you know that if your REGISTERED Deaf/deaf, and in need of a telephone triage consultation with your GP you can contact the surgery via email and inform us your preferred method of communication, this will be relayed to your GP and a record of this decision saved in your medical records. If a BSL/ISL interpreter is required for consultations this can be arranged.

Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (Belfast Trust) Phone First service will cease at 6.00pm on Wednesday 30 September 2026.

From Thursday 1 October 2026, people in the Belfast Trust area who are unwell should choose the service best suited to their needs. Choosing the right service will help you receive appropriate care as quickly as possible. Further information is available on the Belfast Trust Choose the right care webpage.

• Community pharmacy and Pharmacy First: For advice and treatment for a range of common conditions, contact your local community pharmacy. An appointment with your GP may not be required.
• Online symptom checkers: Use the NI Direct Health Conditions A–Z and symptom search for advice and information. For children, the Belfast Trust Children’s Symptom Checker provides guidance on common childhood conditions, care at home and where to seek help. These tools do not replace professional medical advice. If you are concerned that an adult or child is seriously unwell, seek urgent medical help.
• GP: Contact your GP practice for health concerns that are not emergencies and need medical assessment or ongoing care.
• GP Out of Hours: If you require urgent GP care when your practice is closed and the issue cannot wait until it reopens, telephone 028 9074 4447 for North and West Belfast or 028 9079 6220 for South and East Belfast. This is not a walk-in service. You must telephone first. Further information is available on the Belfast Trust GP Out of Hours webpage.
• Urgent Care Centre: For an urgent but non-life-threatening illness or injury, visit the Belfast Trust Choose the right care webpage to identify the most appropriate service before travelling.
• Emergency Department: Belfast Trust Emergency Departments at the Royal Victoria Hospital and Mater Hospital, and the Children’s Emergency Department at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, remain open for serious illness or injury requiring urgent assessment.
